The Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has published the routine of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination for this year. After a long delay, the Higher Secondary Certificate examination will begin across the country on November 6. The list and seat arrangement of the centers in which the HSC examination will be held in Dhaka Board have been published.
The routine and seat arrangement have been published in two separate notifications on the website of the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
HSC and equivalent exams usually start in April of the year. But due to corona infection, the curriculum has been running randomly for two and a half years. This year public examinations such as SSC and HSC have been delayed due to floods in some areas of the country including Sylhet. Meanwhile, SSC and equivalent exams will start on September 15.
According to the notification, the officer in charge of the center will collect the confidential documents from the Principal of the concerned college, the confidential documents through the Deputy Commissioner, the white answer sheets, and other documents from the Dhaka Education Board and conduct the examination. The first part of the OMR should be sent by post to the Dhaka Education Board Computer Center and the answer sheets to the Controller of Examinations as per the Examination Conduct Policy by 7 pm every day after the examination.
The notification further states that the venue centers will conduct the examination by receiving money and necessary documents from the main center and after the examination will submit all related documents to the officer-in-charge of the main center. The District Commissioner in the district headquarters and the Upazila Executive Officer in the Upazila will serve as the supervising officer of the examination center.
The Principal, Acting Principal, or Officer-in-Charge of the School and College will be the Principal, Acting Principal, or a senior professor of the college selected as the HSC examination center.
According to this year’s schedule, the theory exam will end on December 13. And on December 15, the practical exam will begin. Meanwhile, this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations, which were delayed due to the flood situation, are starting on September 15.
