These people are not able to properly participate in social interaction, movement, communication, and daily functioning, in the limited constraints of neurological development. As a result, life-long care is needed. A person with a disability has the right to live and live with dignity.
To this end, the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) was announced in December 2006, the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh signed and ratified the UN Declaration of Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

In light of that, the present government has taken effective steps to provide services to the type and extent of disability through various activities.
In view of this, the Government of Bangladesh constituted a Board called the Neuro-Developmental Disability Protection Trustee Board in 2014 after establishing the Trust through the implementation of the ‘Neuro-Developmental Disability Protection Trust Act, 2013’ to improve the overall quality of life of people with neurodevelopmental disorders.
The Trust is taking various initiatives to improve the living standards of children and persons with neurodevelopmental disabilities.
